My Background
Present
Child & Youth Care (BA) Student @ TMU
In the fall of 2025, I returned to formal education to pursue an undergraduate degree in Child & Youth Care. I currently hold a 4.110 GPA (on the 4.330 scale). My studies focus on relational care, youth development, and community-based practice, building on my long-standing commitment to engaging in work that meets young people where they're at.
2019 - Present
Children's Media Producer
I started my TV career on YTV's The Zone as an on-camera host and writer, which was my first introduction to producing media for youth. From there, I studied TV writing through the support of BIPOC TV & Film's Kids Writing Intensive. Since then, I've been fortunate enough to write over 35 episodes of TV for children, ranging from social-emotional themes to hard-curriculum-based programs. I also direct & produce video content regularly, including in partnership with child-centred companies like Sago Mini. My approach to work is child-focused, inclusive, and inspired by play.
2015 - 2019
Studying Improv & Sketch Comedy @ The Second City
I never intended to be a performer, but at 19-years-old I struggled with severe social anxiety and came across a class offered by The Second City called Improv for Anxiety, which I decided to take. That class introduced me to the joy of play and changed the course of my life and career. After discovering my love of improv, I continued to study improv, sketch comedy, clown, and stand-up. In 2017, I graduated from The Second City Conservatory program.
